Will withdraw case against man implicated in road accident: State to high court

The Bombay High Court criticized the police for falsely implicating Nikhil Shinde in a road accident case. The State has decided to withdraw the prosecution against him. Shinde, a Pune resident, was charged with rash driving based on a statement by Avinash Landge. However, Shinde's petition revealed inconsistencies in the FIR and CCTV footage showed that his car was the only one present at the time of the incident. The court demanded compensation for Shinde and accepted the police's request for withdrawal of prosecution.
