Beware – Bangalore based Online Cyber Crime Scam exposed. Another Jamtara Nexus?
#MeMumbaikar
Bangalore, the
Silicon city of India, has emerged with one of the biggest scams related to online
shopping. They are targeting high-net-worth medical practitioners and fleecing them
with fake deals.
RollingCo Ventures Pvt Ltd, Ground Floor, K NO.66/4/20/56,
3RD CROSS, AYYAPPA NAGAR, K R PURAM, BANGALORE – 560036” – the company
which has at least 4 websites under different names is offering high-tech deals
at low prices.
Details of their websites are listed
below:
HOW THEY FUNCTION?
They are targeting
medical practitioners, fitness freaks, and fitness/fashion influencers via a
video which is sent to them through an Instagram message. Once you click the
link you are diverted to their website where you can see the latest high-tech
products available at dirt cheap prices.
HOW YOU ARE LURED INTO BUYING SOMETHING?
Although they
do offer cash on delivery options, you will never get the delivery. A medical
practitioner friend of ours made the mistake of making an online payment to
them. Online payments get you a minimum 10 percent discount. After waiting for
almost a week and reminders to their email address, there has been no response.
There is no customer care number also on their website. Obviously, the money
has gone down the drain.
HOW THEY CHEAT?
Once you have
made a payment, an auto response email comes from a personal email id instead
of the company email id. This is a well-planned technique to fleece customers.
MORE ABOUT THE COMPANY DETAILS.
The company has
been incorporated on 01.04.2019. The directors are Sonu Kumar Agarwal and Naresh Padhy (the IT mastermind). These two
individuals have formed other alternative companies on the same day, with other
partner names but Naresh Padhy being the main partner always.
The email
address mentioned is ca.bhandarisumit@gmail.com obviously
belonging to a CA who has guided them how to incorporate fake shell Pvt. Ltd.
companies with just 1 lakh rupees. Other companies have had the CA email id
changed later.

will be reporting this case to the Cyber Crimes of Bangalore and also cascading
it to social media. Please do share this post.
If people keep quiet about such online scams, we would have
another case of JAMTARA which died a
death and people get conned by such scamsters. The very fact that they are not
responding to emails throw light on their intentions to cheat people. Naresh Padhy’s LinkedIn profile also
has posts seeking youngsters for lucrative jobs.
NEVER MAKE
PAYMENTS TO AN ONLINE SITE WHICH IS UNKNOWN. ALWAYS RESORT TO ESTABLISHED
WEBSITES FOR ONLINE SHOPPING.
Fortunately, two other medical practitioners were safeguarded
since they didn’t make any payments to them. The order numbers for which the
payments have been made (and cheated) have been kept confidential to maintain
the secrecy of the complaint.
