Ajit Pawar skips GST meet in Delhi, goes to Nashik

Deputy CM Ajit Pawar, who is also the state finance minister, skipped the GST Council meeting in New Delhi, raising speculation about his strained relationship with the chief minister. This would have been Pawar's first GST Council meeting since joining the government in July. He has been insisting on district guardian ministership for all NCP ministers, and recently got his way with seven ministers being given charge of various districts. Cabinet expansion is expected to take place soon.
