Mumbai: At Rs 200-350/kg veggies are burning a hole in pockets
Even as tomato scaled a record high of Rs 160/kg in retail markets in the city on Tuesday, the prices of other vegetables too gave grief to Mumbaikars, with French beans costing Rs 250 per kg, green peas Rs 250-300/kg, green chillies burning the pocket at Rs 200-300/kg, ginger selling for Rs 250-350/kg and coriander costing around Rs 350. Even lemons cost Rs 12-15 apiece.
