Tomato price crosses Rs 100/kg in Mumbai amid festive season

In a sudden sharp rise, tomato prices have reached an astronomical Rs 80-110 per kg in parts of Mumbai. Traders blame rain and loss of crops for this atrocity. They warn that the situation is likely to remain precarious through the month of July.
