Mumbai bids adieu to Ganpati, over 38K idols immersed

The 10-day festivities of Ganeshotsav came to an end on Friday, as the city bid goodbye to its favourite deity. Over 38,000 Ganesh idols were immersed till about 9am on Saturday, of which around 25% were done at artificial sites created by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).
