Ramsar tag for Thane Creek Flamingo sanctuary

The Thane Creek Flamingo Sanctuary has now been given the Ramsar site tag, which makes it the first such site within an urban metropolis. It is also the third Ramsar site wetland in the state. Greens welcomed the decision, which was tweeted on Saturday by Union minister of MoEF&CC Bhupender Yadav on Saturday.
