‘Self-acquired flat gifted to son not ancestral asset’

"The gift of self-acquired property by the father to his son does not constitute an ancestral property in the hands of the donee," said Justice N J Jamadar of the Bombay high court in a property battle between siblings following the demise of their doctor father.
