39% rise in vehicle regns for Padwa

Mumbaikars' desire to get a new vehicle on Gudi Padwa, which was celebrated on Saturday, drove up new vehicle registrations at the four city RTOs by 39% as compared to last year. While registrations of cars and SUVs rose by 27%, that of two-wheelers jumped 46%, according to data shared by RTO sources.
