Might now act against Param, Maha govt tells HC

The state on Wednesday expressed a desire not to continue its statement of May 24 assuring no coercive action, including arrest, against Mumbai’s former police commissioner Param Bir Singh, who has sought the quashing of an FIR lodged against him by the Thane police under the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.
