Man jailed for 6 yrs in murder case acquitted

Observing that the investigating officer “created evidence”, a sessions court recently acquitted a 29-year-old driver who has spent five and a half years in jail for allegedly murdering a man who stalked his wife and who had even attempted to rape her. The court refuted the cop’s claims that after the murder, the accused, Shriniwas Lakka, walked into the police station in bloodied clothes, handed over a sickle and confessed to the brutal murder.
