8 of 200 patients treated for black fungus lost vision

Acknowledging the “new epidemic” born out of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, state government officials on Saturday said at least eight people across Maharashtra had lost vision in an eye due to mucormycosis, a fungal infection being detected in a growing number of post-Covid patients.
