60% of trucks in city lie idle in second wave

Nearly 60% trucks are lying idle across the state due to fall in demand due to restrictions and lockdown, transporters have said. Only vehicles carrying essentials are moving inter-district while daily losses in the transport sector are almost Rs 1,600 crore, they said as the government extended the curbs.
